Iran doc on mirror work joins Latvia tourism filmfest

The 10th edition of International Tourism Film Festival “Tourfilm – Riga” in Latvia is to host Iranian documentary ‘The Mirror of Fancy’ showcasing Iran magnificent art of mirror work.

The selected entry to the filmfest in Latvia directed by Farhad Pakdel is concerned with “an expert in handicrafts com[ing] to Shiraz to do research on mirror work and meet a renowned master craftsman. He is awed by the master’s artworks,” the Latvian festival’s synopsis for the movie read.

“Tourfilm – Riga 2017” takes place in the Latvian capital city of Riga on April 29th 2017. Tourism films presenting tourism products or specific cities, regions, states as tourism destinations will be judged in categories of tourism destination, cultural tourism, eco-tourism, adventure tourism, tourist services, congresses, fairs and events and Latvian tourism product.

Mirror work is perfect Iranian art representation particularly employed to decorate mosques and religious sites.
